Gatekeeping Staff

Job Overview

As Gatekeeping Staff, you will perform functions to manage and monitor traffic entering a gated community. You will also play a key role in ensuring a welcoming environment while adhering to access control protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors and contractors
  • Manage community access procedures in accordance with established policies
  • Maintain accurate visitor and access records
  • Provide information and assistance to residents and visitors
  • Observe and report community concerns, incidents, or policy violations to management
  • Document incidents, activities, and resident interactions as required
  • Operate gatehouse, access control, and communication systems
  • Perform routine inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Aid residents with access devices and visitor registration processes
  • Escalate emergencies or urgent situations in accordance with established procedures

Compensation

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Familiarity with computer, smartphone/tablet usage, and monitoring systems
  • Valid driver’s license

Education And Experience

  • Utilization of ticket sales systems and payment processing systems
  • Preferred degree in recreation, hospitality or communication field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in coordinating and promoting activities and events

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for long periods and patrol the premises
  • Capable of walking throughout the property
