Gastroenterology Opportunity - Houston Methodist Willowbrook

About the role

The position involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, evaluating and managing both acute and chronic GI conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver diseases.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
• Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic GI conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care, surgery, and oncology, to optimize patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotation for hospital consults and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care.

Requirements

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.
