About the role

The APP Specialist, Gastroenterology plays a crucial role in managing priorities and moving seamlessly between challenges. This position requires advanced practice providers (Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants) to engage with healthcare providers (HCPs) at a local level to identify marketplace needs, provide disease state and product education, and support HCPs in utilizing the client's access and fulfillment resources.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-label product education to support appropriate utilization of company-approved products
  • Engage with target customers, including APP societies and advocacy organizations, in or outside of office settings, including conferences to uncover marketplace needs
  • Educate and champion the utilization of client resources to drive optimal patient experience and care
  • Collaborate with field teams and home office marketing team to shape local execution and APP-specific strategies and materials

Requirements

  • Advanced degree as either Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • 3+ years of active engagement in Gastroenterology/Inflammatory Bowel Disease patient care as an NP or PA
  • Track record of building productive, collaborative relationships with individuals of various educational backgrounds and roles within an ecosystem
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including some weekend conferences

Desired Requirements

  • NP or PA experience working in both institutional/academic settings and community offices
  • Strong knowledge of payer approval processes and solid business acumen
  • Ability to translate customer feedback into potential solutions
