Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Gastroenterology team at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. This role offers a balanced schedule and a collaborative, patient-focused work environment.

About the Role

• 36 patient-facing hours and 4 admin hours per week
• Collaborative team environment working alongside experienced gastroenterologists and support staff
• State-of-the-art facilities with advanced GI diagnostic and treatment capabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff
• Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage inpatient consults and outpatient follow-up visits
• Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois
• 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology or inpatient medicine (strongly preferred)
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team
• EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus)

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $125,000–$140,000 annually, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
