Gastroenterologist - Locum Tenens Inpatient and ER Coverage

About the role

Provide inpatient and emergency room gastroenterology coverage in a facility with established protocols for scheduled and emergent cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage gastroenterology cases in inpatient and ER settings, including procedures, during day shifts, call, and 24-hour call periods.
• Collaborate with RNs, X-Ray Techs, Anesthesia Team, and GI Nursing team.
• Handle an average of 2-3 procedures per day, ensuring continuity of care across all settings.

Requirements

• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to maintain availability during call shifts.
• No prescriptive authority needed.

Qualifications

Board-certified gastroenterologist with experience in inpatient and ER care, able to work independently during assigned shifts and call periods.
