Gastroenterologist

About the Role

As a Physician in Gastroenterology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This role is part of an employed Medical Group Gastroenterology practice serving Utah County, addressing a strong community need for increased access to GI and Endoscopy care. The practice operates with a team-based model involving physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and nurses across clinic and endoscopy locations. Support is provided to help build your GI practice.

This position includes:

• A starting base salary of $620,000 annually with production incentives
• A $50,000 sign-on bonus
• Up to $20,000 relocation assistance based on distance
• Student loan repayment options
• A $1,500 monthly training stipend
• Future Academic Executive Committee (AEC) opportunities

You will practice at Utah Valley Hospital. The call schedule is shared within the group, with a minimum expectation of 1:5 and additional pay for extra call shifts. A four-day work week is possible. You will have opportunities to teach medical students and residents, lead in developing new academic programs, and explore leadership roles.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Residency training in Internal Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
• ERCP experience is welcomed but not required
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis

This role is based at Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital and Utah Valley Clinic in Provo, Utah.
