Call expectations of no more than 8 days per month, with additional recruitment anticipated to support long-term call coverage. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care by evaluating and treating patients, accepting referrals, providing inpatient and outpatient consultations, and serving as an admitting, attending, or consulting physician as needed, including participation in call schedules and discharge planning.
- Support high-quality, cost-effective care through thorough documentation, timely insurance denial appeals, quality improvement initiatives, and participation in medical education, research, and other academic programs as requested.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Eligible for state medical license and DEA registration.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support preferred.
