We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join our well-established and growing single specialty private practice group of four physicians located in Venice, Florida. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders related to the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. The Gastroenterologist role involves providing both outpatient and inpatient care, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation/Benefits/Opportunities
Competitive salary and incentive bonus structure
New physician/associate compensation is negotiable and can start as purely employed, base salary with productivity bonus, or pure productivity

Essential Duties
Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreas
Perform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), and other relevant diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Develop comprehensive care plans, including medical, dietary, and surgical treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal diseases
Collaborate with other specialists and primary care physicians to provide continuity of care
Review and interpret diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging studies, and lab results
Educate patients and their families about digestive health, treatment plans, and preventive care
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting care provided, diagnostic findings, and treatments
Stay current with medical advancements and updates in gastroenterology by attending conferences, seminars, and professional development activities
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and best practices
NO HOSPITAL ON CALL REQUIRED
Participate in 1:5 call rotation outside of business hours for clinic patient phone calls
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
ERCP/EUS preferred, but not required
Valid state medical license and DEA certification
Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates, including J-1 waivers, H-1B, or O-1 visas
Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology
Proficiency in performing and interpreting endoscopic procedures
Strong diagnostic skills with a deep understanding of gastrointestinal anatomy and pathology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and empathy
Knowledge of EMR systems and ability to document patient records accurately

Fast-paced clinical setting
Practice has one clinic location, and ASC is next door to the office
Practice is 10 minutes from the beach, 30 minutes from Sarasota, 1 hour 15 minutes from Tampa/Fort Myers, 2 hours from Orlando
