Gas Technician - Residential HVAC Service

About the role
As a Gas Technician, you will perform service and maintenance on residential gas HVAC systems, including propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers. You will provide excellent customer service, consult with homeowners on system options, and educate them on products. Daily tasks include reading wiring diagrams and blueprints, using a tablet for work orders, and collaborating with tech support for diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance on residential gas HVAC systems
- Work on propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers
- Provide excellent customer service and educate homeowners on systems and products
- Consult with customers on repair and replacement decisions
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Use a tablet for daily work orders and diagnostics
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Requirements
- 4+ years of HVAC experience
- MA Gas license
- EPA Universal Certification
- Experience consulting customers on repair and replacement decisions
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Qualifications
- Certificate from an HVAC Technical School (desired)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Pay
$32.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
