Responsibilities
- Aid in routine inspections of landfill gas collection systems.
- Work alongside Lead Landfill Gas Technicians to learn system operations and compliance requirements.
- Support monitoring of gas wells and probes using basic equipment under supervision.
- Aid in maintenance of pneumatic pumps, including removal and basic inspections.
- Help monitor liquid levels in gas wells.
- Learn and support HDPE pipe fusion and repair processes.
- Maintain safe working conditions and follow all site safety procedures.
- Perform general labor and support tasks around the landfill as needed.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and be trained in gas system operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools preferred, but not required.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as training progresses.

Skills
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience (construction, labor, equipment, etc.).
- Interest in environmental or landfill operations.
- Desire to grow into a Gas Technician role.

Pay
Starts at $21–$22/hr with bonuses: $1,000 bonus at 6 months and $1,500 bonus at 1 year.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm (40–50 hours per week) with an on-call rotation once every 5 weeks (weekend coverage required).
