Gas Station Assistant Store Manager

Bill's Market, a high-traffic convenience store/gas station, is seeking a Convenience Store Management Associate to oversee day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees, as well as managing store profits and controllable expenses such as labor, inventory levels, and shortages.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, recommending for hire, and training employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Motivate, encourage, and challenge store cashiers.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and well-kept store.
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, priced correctly, and safely arranged.
• Maintain quality brand image standards to pass evaluations.
• Monitor daily retail gasoline competitors.
• Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner.
• Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
• Conduct store meetings with employees at least once monthly.
• Perform all duties of a store cashier as needed.
• Understand daily reporting of store operations.
• Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures.
• Implement monthly promotions and ensure proper POS advertising/signage.
• Communicate and perform price changes, markdowns, and ups as requested.
• Report any merchandise pricing issues to management.
• Implement and enforce merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
• Enforce all safety and security issues and report unsafe conditions.
• Conduct regular safety and security meetings, documenting employee attendance.
• Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (College Education Preferred).
• 3 to 5 years of Convenience Store Management Experience.
• Grocery Experience.
• Hot Food Experience.
• Ordering Merchandise Experience.
• Physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly.

Pay

$24.00 - $24.00 / Hourly

Schedule

• First (Day) shift.
• Full-time, on-site position.

Public transportation accessible. Drug test required.
