Gas Distribution Designer III

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Gas Distribution Designer (Level 3) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience developing drawings and documentation for mainline replacement and new main projects for gas distribution systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and experience working with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential. Open to candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones (U.S.).
Responsibilities
- Lead in drafting and updating comprehensive base drawings, piping plans, and BOMs.
- Create detailed and complex AutoCAD drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Review and check designs for compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines.
- Train and mentor junior designers.
- Communicate project progress to clients.
- Manage medium-sized projects.
- Ensure all designs adhere to safety regulations.
- Interface with project engineers.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting or Design from an accredited vocational school, college or university. Management may consider other education and work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position.
- 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD software for design projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.

Pay
Salary Range: USD $30.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
