Responsibilities
- Maintains pipeline system operation to meet customer gas flow requirements.
- Monitors and controls pipeline systems via SCADA and telephone communications.
- Maintains pressures, line pack, receipt and deliveries to optimize throughput efficiency.
- Determines and implements system requirements and changes to mainline pressures and volumes.
- Manages operational balancing agreements (OBA) on a daily and monthly basis.
- Communicates with field operations personnel regarding issues such as production loss, gas quality problems, and DAS problems.
- Keeps a shift events log and coordinates pipeline/horsepower outages using real-time pipeline models.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two to four years of related experience, including familiarity with Northern Natural Gas compressor stations or gas supply operations.
- Two years of operations experience desirable.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective PC skills, proficient in Excel, Word, Access.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Controls and measurement experience a plus.
- Pipeline flow study modeling experience, a plus.
