Garage - Truck Washer

Responsibilities

• Keep all rolling equipment fueled.
• Wash any rolling equipment.
• Bring equipment to the garage to be fueled and washed, from respective locations.
• Safely park, move, and maneuver heavy trucks and trailers around the terminal or wash bay.
• Strictly adhere to EPA, OSHA, and company safety guidelines, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous cleaning chemicals safely.
• Auxiliary in other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Driver License.
• Able to work in a wet environment where falls and slips are possible.
• Able to work in an environment around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Able to work in an outdoor setting with hot and cold temperatures.
• Required to wear safety goggles when washing equipment.
• Required to wear a safety reflective vest (or uniform shirt with reflectors on it).

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to an environment around fuel.
• Exposure to an environment around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Exposure to an environment with moving loaders.
• Exposure to an outdoor setting with hot and cold temperatures.
• Exposure to temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• Exposure to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Handle the weight of 8 to 10 lbs. repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
• May be exposed to chemicals used in the poultry processing facility.
• Ability to work in a stationary position, on feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to work with heavy machinery for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through the production environment.
