Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair – Repair garage doors, door operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment including doors, and replace springs
- Educating the Customer – Explain options to repair issues and prevent future ones; review completed work so customers fully understand it
- Sell Service, Repairs, and New Equipment – Use our proven model to sell services using a good/better/best approach and collect payment
- Manage Inventory in Your Vehicle – Ensure you have the right equipment, tools, and products to service the equipment
- Maximizing Your Time – Address customer needs efficiently to help as many customers as possible and control your income
- Quality Work – Ensure the job is done right the first time
- Wowing the Customer – Deliver an experience that results in glowing reviews
- Commitment to Safety – Drive and work safely
Requirements
- Must have mechanical aptitude and technical skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently
- Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Able to work in heat and cold, including non-temperature-controlled garages
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve issues
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and able to follow our customer service process
- Experience in the garage door industry is preferred but not required – we will train you
- Must be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet
- Must be able to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment
Pay
We offer competitive pay that will meet or beat any trade. After training, you will receive commissions on the work you complete. Most technicians make between $80,000 and $140,000 per year.
