About the role

JLGB offers a paid internship or gap year placement for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain real-world experience in a dynamic and meaningful youth charity environment. The role involves shaping your own internship based on your interests and skills, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as social media, digital systems, programme delivery, events planning, communications, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging social media content, graphics, and schedules
  • Write copy for newsletters, web, blog, and promotional materials
  • Support development and implementation of digital systems and internal platforms
  • Aid in planning and delivering events, training seminars, and residentials
  • Work with young people and partners to support youth volunteering and DofE awards
  • Provide admin support, answer queries, and contribute to team meetings
  • Monitor analytics and performance to inform strategic planning
  • Help design new initiatives and contribute to a creative working environment

Requirements

  • Passionate about youth empowerment, volunteering, and/or Jewish community life
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written English and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with IT tools and digital platforms (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, reliable, and willing to learn

Qualifications

  • Desirable but not essential: Experience using social media platforms for content creation, basic graphic design or video editing, HTML, PHP, or other web development skills, previous involvement with JLGB or similar youth organizations, understanding of the needs of faith and culturally diverse communities

From £1,539 a month (age dependent)
