Gantry Team Coordinator
About the role
The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in managing a specific area of a department, allowing the coach to concentrate more on people within the area rather than getting involved in day-to-day operational issues.
Responsibilities
- Ensures continuous production flow by addressing bottlenecks in the area.
- Fills in for positions as needed.
- Identifies part and resource shortages and finds solutions or notifies the coach of the need for solutions.
- Communicates identified situations to supervisors, engineers, and managers as necessary.
- Reduces production bottlenecks on the manufacturing product line.
- Addresses and corrects workflow issues.
- Learns all positions and fills in as needed.
- Identifies part and resource shortages and provides solutions.
- Communicates above situations to Supervisors, Engineers and Managers as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Basic understanding of engineering and supply chain functions.
