Gameday Retail Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

The Chicago Steel, a member of the United States Hockey League (USHL), is seeking a Gameday Retail Associate to enhance the fan experience by creating a welcoming and efficient shopping environment for guests at all Steel home games. The primary responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service and generating merchandise sales throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Aid in setting up and taking down merchandise displays for all Steel home games
• Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service
• Maintain awareness of current products, inventory, and best-selling items
• Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items
• Organize, maintain, and clean retail locations during downtime
• Represent the Chicago Steel by maintaining a fun, positive, and fan-focused retail environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• The ability to attend all Steel home games during the 2026-2027 season, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required
• A positive and energetic individual who is organized, driven, and willing to contribute to the success of the team
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a customer-first mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work productively and collaboratively
• Ability to be on feet for 3+ hours at a time
