GAME NIGHT ICE CREW

About the role

The Springfield Thunderbirds are seeking dedicated Ice Crew Members for the 2026-27 AHL season. Ice Crew Members are expected to be available for all regular season home games through April, as well as playoff games if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist game day staff with on-ice activities
• Assist with snow removal during stoppages in play
• Assist with live promotional giveaways
• Assist with pre-game fan tunnel, flag program, and mini-games
• Engage with fans during the game

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the MassMutual Center for games
• Must commit to volunteering for the full season
• Must be willing to work hard, be on time, and present yourself professionally
• Must have strong ice-skating capability (2-5 years of experience preferred)

High school students looking to fulfill required community/volunteer hours are asked to track their own hours and record them on the volunteer hours form from their respective high school.
