Gallery Kitchen Sanitation Worker
Position Summary
To clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, kitchen and serving equipment, and related work areas by utilizing and operating appropriate equipment; sweeps, mops, sanitizes floors of kitchen and related work areas according to prescribed standards; empties waste baskets, trash cans, boxes, and containers; may assist in maintaining food inventories and food preparation.
About the Role
Position is located at Gallery. All positions in RHS are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure, modification, or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency condition, persons in this position are expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, kitchen and serving equipment, and related work areas by utilizing and operating appropriate equipment.
- Sweeps, mops, sanitizes floors of kitchen and related work areas according to prescribed standards.
- Empties waste baskets, trash cans, boxes, and containers.
- Maintains food inventories and food preparation (may assist).
Requirements
- Casual knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and methods is necessary.
- Willingness to work a flexible shift is necessary.
- Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required.
