About the role

We are seeking a passionate educator and leader to join our team as a GA Pre-K Lead Teacher. Your role involves overseeing classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the GA Dept of Early Care and Learning, and aligning with the objectives of the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children and their families, fostering strong bonds and supporting their comprehensive development.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that encompass physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor the children's progress, tailoring the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with disabilities.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols by ensuring a secure and clean environment through adherence to strict hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision procedures.

Requirements

  • Current pay rates for this position vary based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
  • Experience working with children in a Pre-K setting is preferred but not required.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with families and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of the GA Pre-K Curriculum and its alignment with state standards.
  • Experience in implementing best practices for early childhood education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
