About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support our Lead Teacher in creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for four-year-old children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supporting lesson implementation, and helping foster children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

Teacher Responsibilities

  • Assists with daily classroom activities and supports lesson implementation
  • Helps to foster children’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborates with the Lead Teacher to maintain classroom routines and ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (DECAL) standards
  • Supports the creation of a positive and well-organized classroom environment
  • Provides clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior while offering verbal recognition and acceptance
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
