GA DOL - Quality Analyst (Testing)

Responsibilities

• analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform testing activities for Java, programs on distributed platforms.
• Execute test program changes, update test files, run tests, review results, and ensure the correctness of program changes based on provided requirements.
• Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.
• Organize, manage, and provide clear guidance to teams in order to reach the testing goals and tight deadlines with candor, transparency & collaboration.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Testing Java programs
• Prior experience with DB2 and Postgres
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including writing test cases, execution of test cases and integration testing, and deployment.
• Strong analytical skills to support non-database functions, correct data errors, and develop data analysis/summary reports.
• Experience in preparing comprehensive documentation for both program-level and user-level.
• Excellent communication skills to obtain user sign-off on all changes prior to moving to production.
• Commitment to enhancing software for improved efficiency and reduced operating time.

• Hands on experience in Jira tool
