We are looking for
The Enterprise Applications Engineering team is seeking an IT Enterprise Applications Engineer specializing in NetSuite & Claude Code. This role is within the Enterprise Applications Administration job family, which oversees the implementation and operational ownership of all enterprise applications across GitLab.
What you'll do
- Develop with NetSuite SuiteCloud development tools such as SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteScript to develop new and maintain existing business workflows.
- Build system integration tools such as SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and NetSuite SOAP APIs.
- Operate as a system, field, and mapping expert for the RPA and iPaaS team.
- Work knowledge of Workato is a plus.
- Maintain the metadata, records, objects, roles, and fields to ensure proper data flows between systems.
- Business partnerships: Influence cross-functional teams regularly, building and managing holistic relationships with select partners.
- Business operations: Build, maintain, and improve internal analysis and planning processes to more efficiently deliver for our business partners.
- Technical delivery: Drive end-to-end delivery processes with minimal guidance.
- Project management: Run medium-sized projects that improve our ability to make better data-driven insights or make the company more efficient.
What you'll bring
- Full understanding of NetSuite stack and experience with all NetSuite modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, SuiteBilling, Procurement, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, SuiteFlow, CSV imports, user provisioning, defining roles, analytics, and scheduling scripts.
- Expertise in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Services, and Eclipse.
- Understanding of JSON, SQL, API, and GitLab Products.
- Understanding of SDLC and DAP (Duo Agentic Platform).
- Knowledge of Claude tools is a requirement (Claude cowork, Claude code & MCP) & how they work with NetSuite, GitLab issues, other data sources, and VSCode.
- Ability to design and deploy code from Claude and intake requirements and data from various sources.
- Understanding of Project Management, best practices, and the documentation required to properly intake, design, deploy, and hypercare for cross-functional customizations and projects.
- Strong data analytics, reporting, and database experience (SQL and NetSuite, and other reporting tools, ODBC).
- NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer certifications are a plus.
- Understanding of various SaaS tools used, such as Zip, Coupa, Navan, and Zuora, is a plus.
- Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment, as well as a customer-centric mentality and interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, resiliency under pressure, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
- Strong security and confidentiality practices with systems that handle sensitive data.
About The Team
The Enterprise Applications team is responsible for GitLab’s critical business applications, including Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite, Navan, Zip, and many others. This team will be an important part of GitLab’s ability to scale as an organization. This includes introducing new system features and capabilities while maintaining the existing production environment for scalability and compliance.
Grade level and salary ranges
The base salary range for this role's listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits.
