FY27: Paraeducator Level II, Special Education (PEP), 7hrs/10mos, Fairland ES, Ad Closes 9/7/26

Summary Description

This paraeducator performs a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP). The paraeducator may be required to participate with students in learning activities off school grounds and assist with academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student mastery of grade-level curriculum or mastery of Alternate Academic Achievement Standards
• Manages behaviors that impact the student’s ability to access the curriculum
• Supports students in general education classes and specialized instructional settings
• Performs instructional and classroom management supports
• Performs related clerical tasks to support teachers and other professional staff

Requirements

• Frequent bending, walking, and lifting of objects/equipment up to 50 pounds may be required
• Outside duty may be required
• Must be able to accommodate flexible scheduling and change of location and/or program, as needed
• Continues planned instructional activities during teacher's temporary absence from the classroom

Special Requirements

• Frequent overtime or night work required

• The wage range for this position is between $26.23 and $40.17 per hour, based on years of service
