Responsibilities
- Applying knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to complex issues.
- Working in a highly collaborative culture, listening to and sharing information with colleagues.
- Providing up-to-the-minute tax advice to clients.
- Managing budgets, people, and projects.
- Building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of the real estate, hospitality, and construction industry.
- Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients' tax activities.
- Researching clients' business operations and tailoring advice to their specific needs.
- Supervising a motivated team of professionals.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- CPA required, or be a member of a state bar.
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
- Professional knowledge in a broad range of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
- Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
Qualifications
- A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
- Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.
- A willingness to travel as needed, and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

Pay
Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Most people in external, client serving roles work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
