Responsibilities

  • Applying knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to complex issues.
  • Working in a highly collaborative culture, listening to and sharing information with colleagues.
  • Providing up-to-the-minute tax advice to clients.
  • Managing budgets, people, and projects.
  • Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients' tax activities.
  • Building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of the real estate, hospitality and construction industry.
  • Supervising a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • CPA required, or be a member of a state bar.
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • Professional knowledge in a broad range of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
  • The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
  • Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment.

  • Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these to clients.
  • Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.

  • Supervise a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Benefits

At EY, we offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
