About the role

The OCCE Student Lead will support the community-based learning faculty, students, community partners, and co-curricular community engagement activities in an office that values mutually beneficial relationships and cultural competency.

Responsibilities

• Support community-based learning faculty, students, and community partners
• Collaborate with diverse groups of people in multicultural environments
• Work under tight time constraints
• Take initiative and act as a self-starter

Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• General clerical and organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight time constraints
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be an active ULV student

Preferred Qualifications

• Public speaking skills
• 1 to 2 years of related experience with nonprofit organizations or community service
• Value collaborative partnerships among diverse groups of people in multicultural environments

Benefits

Hours: Preferred availability is 2-3 days a week at 6-8 hours a week, with the possibility of some evening and weekend events.
