About the role
The OCCE Student Lead will support the community-based learning faculty, students, community partners, and co-curricular community engagement activities in an office that values mutually beneficial relationships and cultural competency.
Responsibilities
- Support community-based learning faculty, students, and community partners
- Collaborate with diverse groups of people in multicultural environments
- Work under tight time constraints
- Take initiative and act as a self-starter
Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- General clerical and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight time constraints
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be an active ULV student
Preferred Qualifications
- Public speaking skills
- 1 to 2 years of related experience with nonprofit organizations or community service
- Value collaborative partnerships among diverse groups of people in multicultural environments
Benefits
Hours: Preferred availability is 2-3 days a week at 6-8 hours a week, with the possibility of some evening and weekend events.
