The Ginna’s Cafe Associate provides world-class customer service, delivering quality food and beverage products while representing Scheels as a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable professional.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare different types of candy, nuts, and fudge for sale to customers.
  • Perform all Fuzziwig's Candy Shop functions, including candy cases, ice cream, nuts, fudge, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Fuzziwig’s recipes.
  • Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances.
  • Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
  • Follow Scheels Cashier Guidelines for Fuzziwig’s registers.
  • Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas.
  • Perform repetitive fudge production processes, such as stirring, pulling, and cutting.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Read and interpret documents like operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.

Requirements

  • High school education or up to one month of related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Must be flexible to work assigned schedule, including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays (minimum two weekends per month).
  • Average hours per week: 20.
  • Awareness of food allergens: products may contain or come in contact with dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and other potential allergens.

Schedule

Must be available to work assigned shifts between:

  • 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
  • 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday.

Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available a minimum of two weekends per month.
