Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Partou's future talent plan, focusing on key roles, hard-to-recruit areas, and regions needing support.
  • Create and maintain partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, training providers, community groups, and employability organizations to generate a consistent flow of candidates.
  • Own the end-to-end apprenticeship journey, from attracting and onboarding to progression, retention, and conversion into permanent roles.
  • Work closely with training providers to ensure the competitiveness and supportiveness of the apprenticeship program.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to convert pipelines into live candidate flow while maintaining a focus on long-term strategy.
  • Support succession pipelines for Room Leaders, Deputy Managers, and Nursery Managers by connecting future talent to the right development routes.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to raise awareness of qualification routes, career pathways, and learning opportunities available through Partou Academy.
  • Use vacancy data, turnover trends, labor market insights, and conversion rates to build targeted local plans.
  • Track pipeline volume, quality, conversion, retention, and progression, and communicate the impact clearly.

Requirements

You must have a proven track record in early careers, apprenticeships, employability, community recruitment, or talent pipeline development. You should have experience in developing external partnerships and turning those relationships into measurable outcomes. Knowledge of apprenticeship funding, training providers, and qualification routes is desirable but not essential.

Skills & Approach

  • Strong organization and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Confidence in using data to target activities, measure effectiveness, and justify resource allocation.

What Success Looks Like

  • A robust network of active, productive external partnerships generating a consistent flow of candidates into priority roles and hard-to-recruit areas.
  • An increase in newly qualified practitioners, career changers, and returners finding their way into Partou nurseries.
  • A reduced reliance on agency and reactive recruitment as pipeline activity begins to take effect.
  • An improved apprenticeship completion, retention, and conversion rate into permanent roles.
  • A stronger, better-supported apprenticeship program that candidates and managers feel good about.
  • A clear and trusted partnership with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development, with effective handovers and shared purpose.
  • A reliable pipeline data system that provides better visibility of future talent supply and supports smarter business decisions.
  • A growing awareness of Partou's career pathways and learning opportunities among both future and existing team members.
