About the Role

As Store Manager, you’ll lead every aspect of your store’s day-to-day operations and future success. You’ll be accountable for setting the standard for amazing customer experiences, top-notch employee performance, and budget-beating sales. This role is ideal for someone who loves people, cares about making the world better, and knows how to run a show. You’ll mentor, lead, and inspire while fostering a fun and impactful environment for your community, customers, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Financial performance (50%)
  • Actively work the sales floor, interacting with customers and employees to achieve the store’s sales goals.
  • Aim to be one of the top two salespeople in the store.
  • Lead all staff in world-class customer service to meet the organization’s financial goals.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, quarterly/monthly financial review meetings, and other necessary meetings.
• Staff performance (25%)
  • Organize, implement, and validate staff training in sales, merchandising, Daily Task List, Ascend POS, Ascend Analytics, and product training.
  • Validate training through role-playing, Trek University, secret shop reviews, and direct observation.
  • Conduct bi-weekly leadership meetings with Service Lead, Sales Lead, and Inventory Lead to review performance and plan for future weeks.
• Store merchandising and operations (15%)
  • Participate in store merchandising to ensure a professional, accessible, and inviting shopping experience, including arranging fixtures and setting up feature displays.
  • Monitor and order store supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for exporting daily files into QuickBooks at least once per week.
• Human resources (10%)
  • Take part in all aspects of human resources and staffing, including interviewing, new-hire paperwork, scheduling, and implementing discipline.

Requirements

• Retail Know-How: Solid understanding of retail fundamentals, including KPIs, profit & loss statements, and budgets.
• Leadership Experience: At least one year of experience leading a team, with the ability to coach and inspire.
• Retail Roots: At least two years of experience in the retail world.
• Operational Chops: Experience with inventory, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and customer service.
• Love for Bikes: Passion for cycling and belief in the positive impact of bikes.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think quickly and find solutions in dynamic environments.
• Communication Game: Clear, respectful, and effective communication in all interactions.
• Comfort with Change: Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
