Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Technical Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years acting as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer designing complex, distributed systems
• Tools & Tech Stack: Expert-level mastery in at least one core language (Ruby on Rails or Python) and deep proficiency with PostgreSQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, and AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC)
• System Design Expertise: Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling high-volume API-led transactional or logistical platforms
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to articulate complex architectural trade-offs to both highly technical engineers and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., clinical, product, and operational leaders)

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Industry & Domain Experience: Prior engineering experience within Pharmacy Tech, Digital Health, or highly regulated FinTech/HealthTech environments
• Healthcare Interoperability: Deep understanding of healthcare data standards, pharmacy management systems, or electronic health record (EHR) integrations
• Measurable Impact: Proven track record of successfully leading major architecture modernization projects (e.g., monolith-to-services migrations, database overhauls) with zero-downtime within an AWS ecosystem

Physical Requirements

• The ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time
• The ability to stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies
• The ability to make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers
• The ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds

• Salary Range: $178,400.00 - $223,000.00
