About the role

We are searching for qualified Welder's Helpers to assist welders with positioning, aligning, and fitting together pipelines for natural gas distribution.

Responsibilities

• Hold and position pipe to assist in layout.
• Place and move blocking, braces, and jigs to hold parts.
• Hammer wedges and drift pins, and turn turnbuckles.
• Pull pry bars to align parts.
• Grind or chip rough edges, surplus weld, or scale.
• Transport and furnish welder with materials, tools, and supplies.
• Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current DOT physical.
• At least one month of related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade school certificate in a related field.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
