Furniture Repair Technician 1- $2000 sign-on Bonus

About the role

The Furniture Repair Technician 1 repairs, restores, and inspects merchandise that has been damaged or has manufacturer defects. They work inside the shop or on the dock ensuring outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Responsibilities

• Identify repair needed and follow standard operating procedures to repair based upon the need
• Demonstrate proficiency in repairing at least one of the following: Upholstery / Leather products to include stitching, panel replacement, mechanism, frame repair, button replacement, as well as other components
• Wood / case goods to include burn ins, color matching, panel replacements, adjustment of drawers, doors, glides and other components
• Achieve 80% restock to first quality
• ID proper quality disposition of furniture after inspection
• Have clear understanding and experience with product assembly
• Utilize proper lifting techniques
• Able to operate radio frequency equipment
• Conducts operations in compliance with OSHA standards
• Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor
• Meet company standards for productivity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years experience working with upholstery, an array of fabrics, wood furniture, leather and veneer finishes
• Able to use necessary tools and equipment
• Strong working knowledge of leather repairs, wood repairs including scratches, dents and split wood

Benefits

• Pay range: $20.80 - $27.00
• Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members
