Furniture Handler Trainee
About the role
Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Handler Trainee to join our Operations Team. The position is responsible for unloading and loading furniture, scanning products into our distribution center’s inventory control system, and assessing merchandise for damages to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks at the warehouse loading dock without damaging products
- Unload furniture manually or with hand trucks
- Identify and communicate any physical damages
- Sort unloaded items onto carts by size, type, or product code
- Use RF scanner to systematically receive inventory
- Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness
- Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities
- Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and warehouse safety guidelines
- Operate recycling machinery
- Sort and process dunnage
- Follow company attendance policy
- All other duties as assigned
