Furniture Assembly Technician

About the role

Part‑time, ongoing assembly work for both in‑store (nationwide office supply chain) and in‑home furniture assembly. As an Independent Contractor with SFS, Inc. you will assemble RTA furniture, TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks. SFS, Inc. is a leading supplier of field services to Fortune 1000 manufacturers and retailers in the U.S., contracting retail merchandising, auditing, installation and assembly projects in almost every zip code, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to client‑provided written instructions
• Read and understand plan‑o‑grams and perform customized category resets independently
• Report client work completions on the same day as service
• Travel to various locations as needed (some travel involved)

Requirements

• Merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience
• Ability to assemble products per client instructions
• Ability to understand plan‑o‑grams and perform customized category resets
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Able to bend and stand for extended periods
• Internet access and an active email address
• Reliable transportation (some travel required)
• Own tools
