Furniture Assembly Technician

About the role

Part‑time, ongoing assembly work for both in‑store (nationwide office supply chain) and in‑home furniture assembly. As an Independent Contractor with SFS, Inc. you will assemble RTA furniture, with additional opportunities for those experienced with TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to client‑provided written instructions
• Interpret plan‑o‑grams and perform customized category resets independently
• Report client work completions on the same day as service
• Provide your own tools for assembly tasks
• Arrange reliable transportation; some travel may be required
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
• Bend and stand for extended periods while working
• Maintain internet access and an active email address for communication

Requirements

• Merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience
• Ability to assemble products per client instructions
• Ability to understand plan‑o‑grams and perform customized category resets
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and bending/standing for extended periods
• Internet access and an active email address
• Report work completions the same day
• Reliable transportation (some travel involved)
• Possess your own tools
