You’ll collaborate with a collective of forward-thinking designers and experts in hospitality-driven experiences.

Intermediate-level Furniture & Lighting Designers contribute to the core AvroKO design team under the leadership of the Director of Industrial Design. The role requires motivation, industry knowledge, hands-on fabrication experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. We seek someone who thrives in collaborative teams, can take the lead when needed, and shares AvroKO’s design ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Support studio teams in creating furniture and lighting designs, including:
    • Detailed hand sketching for concept development
    • AI prompting for 3D designs and renderings
    • 3D modeling in Solidworks and Rhino
    • Rendering in Solidworks, V-Ray, or Keyshot
    • Creating technical design drawings
    • Image research, materials, and furniture component sourcing
  • Comprehensive file management and maintaining project schedules
  • Attending internal and external meetings
  • Understanding and advising on budgets
  • Reviewing shop drawings and collaborating with fabricators
  • General construction administration
  • Support AvroKO’s product division, HOST, by:
    • Assisting with communication and visits with fabricators
    • Oversight of shop drawing management
    • Maintaining project schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design or Industrial Design preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years postgraduate experience at an architecture or interior design firm; hospitality design experience preferred
  • Fluency in Solidworks and Rhino required; Keyshot experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp for collaboration with interior designers and architects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fabrication experience is a plus
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available to join the team in 2–4 weeks

Pay

Base salary range: $80,000–$100,000, contingent on relevant experience and abilities.
