Furnace Technician
Duties and responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Monitor different systems throughout the melting process.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the Furnace feeding and melting procedures.
- Be on an on-call schedule that may require overtime depending on business needs.
What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum of 1-Year Manufacturing experience
- Flexibility to work overtime as scheduled, including weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
Physical requirements
- On call for the workshop
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work environment
- Must be able to bend repeatedly
Compensation
- First 90-Days of Employment: 17.75 per hour
- After 90-Days of Employment: 18.25 per hour
