About the role
Operation and monitoring of furnace and exhaust equipment during 2nd shift (12:00 pm – 8:30 pm). Once trained, you will work independently to keep products moving through furnace brazing/firing operations and exhaust (vacuum/heat/electrical monitoring). Training will be provided on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor furnace and exhaust equipment
- Work with furnace brazing and firing operations, including exhaust processes
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with furnace operations and brazing
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with variable ambient indoor temperatures (60–85+ °F)
- Prior knowledge or experience with furnaces, vacuum equipment, and/or electrical measurement (a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow written instructions
- Ability to handle/load up to 20 lbs alone or 75 lbs with assistance
- Willingness to fill out data sheets on products
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Office, etc.)
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to potential access to controlled technology
Pay
Salary Range: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (plus 10% shift differential for 2nd shift).
