Description Summary
Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the preparation and assembly of tubes and various metal components for furnace cycles by performing the following duties.
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings, method sheets, and operating procedures to run production volume through vacuum furnace cycles.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding devices.
- Stake, resistance, tack, cement, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Adjusts materials from components to achieve specified dimensional characteristics.
- Loads and unloads furnace, establishes correct settings, makes necessary adjustments to insure proper furnace operation.
- Performs test and inspection to ensure proper production specifications and standards are met.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
- Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
