Funeral Director Intern or Licensable Funeral Director

Silha Funeral Homes is seeking a Funeral Director Intern or Licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer to join their team serving families throughout Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with and assisting families during times of loss
• Cooking and preparing decedents for visitation and services
• Embalming and restorative art
• Removal and transfer of decedents
• Completing vital statistics and required documentation
• Assisting with aftercare and follow-up services
• Participating in on-call rotations
• Maintaining facilities, vehicles, and equipment
• Supporting community outreach and public relations efforts

Qualifications

• Funeral Director Intern: Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited mortuary science program. Eligible for internship/licensure requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Montana and/or North Dakota. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to exceptional family service. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
