Funeral Director/Embalmer

Family-owned funeral home and crematory located in Hampton Roads, Virginia is seeking a full-time funeral director/embalmer.

Hampton Roads, Virginia is a coastal community located between the Chesapeake Bay and the James River. Conveniently located to Virginia Beach and Williamsburg.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct all aspects of funeral services
• Prepare legal documents and contracts
• Care for the deceased
• Embalming proficiency and preparations
• No night removals
• Operating the crematory

Requirements

• Commonwealth of Virginia Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer (Reciprocation)
• Multi-Tasker
• Empathetic and Compassionate
• Ability to Communicate Effectively in Writing and in Person
• Detailed Orientated
• Good Driving Record
• Proficient Computer Skills
• Professional Appearance
• Ability to Lift
• Cremation Operators Certification (FH will pay for certification)
