About the role
NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Funeral Arranger to join our team at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA. Funeral Arrangers at NorthStar share a pride in their profession and a common desire to serve, providing support, guidance, and direction to families before, during, and after the loss of a loved one. This position manages all phases of the funeral arrangement, including the removal of the deceased, selecting and setting up funeral services, and final disposition.
Responsibilities
- Arrange and assist with funeral and memorial services for families
- Prepare the memorial area for the family before services start
- Maintain reverence and respect for the deceased at all times
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to the funeral industry
Requirements
- A caring heart and a passion for helping the community in need
- 1+ year of funeral industry experience preferred, but not required (training provided for the right candidate)
- Professional communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner
- Proficient computer skills, including the ability to effectively use applications and web-based platforms
Pay
$20–25 per hour.
