Funds Flow Staff Accountant

About the role

Privia Health™ is a technology‑driven, national physician enablement company that collaborates with medical groups, health plans, and health systems to optimize physician practices, improve patient experiences, and reward doctors for delivering high‑value care in both in‑person and virtual settings. The Funds Flow Staff Accountant reports to the Director of Finance and assists with various monthly close, accounts payable, billing, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial results as requested by management.
• Develop, document, and maintain business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure desktop procedures are complete, accurate, and updated in a timely manner for areas of responsibility.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Provide input into the department’s goal‑setting process.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting/Management Information Systems) required.
• 1+ years of direct accounting experience required; month‑end close experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including revenue, budgeting, credit, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus; Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 base pay, exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The position is eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15%. Base pay will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
