Fundraiser

OTHRFull-time

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and enterprising Fundraiser to help grow and diversify ADCH’s charitable income and support our longer‑term ambitions. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys spotting potential, building relationships and turning opportunities into income. You’ll bring ideas and initiative, be confident developing relationships with a wide range of people and organisations, and have the drive to take opportunities from initial conversation through to delivery. This is a home‑based role with travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Build on ADCH’s existing grants, trusts and corporate support while developing new sources of income, including online giving, legacy giving and other fundraising opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and colleagues across the small Central Team to develop compelling funding applications and proposals.
  • Build relationships with funders, donors and corporate supporters.
  • Explore new approaches to fundraising.
  • Bring your own ideas and experience to the role, helping make the most of existing opportunities and identifying where ADCH could do more.

Requirements

  • Experience as a fundraiser with a track record of securing charitable income, including through grants and trusts.
  • Proactive and opportunity‑focused, able to identify new possibilities and drive them forward.
  • Strong and persuasive writer capable of developing compelling funding applications, proposals and cases for support.
  • Confident relationship‑builder who can engage effectively with funders, corporate supporters and other stakeholders.
  • Organised, self‑motivated, comfortable taking ownership of work while managing multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys sharing ideas, spotting opportunities across the organisation and working with colleagues to turn them into action.

Skills

  • Experience of online or individual giving, legacy or corporate fundraising (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience within a charity or membership organisation (helpful but not required; transferable experience welcome).

Pay

£31,000 FTE (£12,400 per annum for 14 hours)

Schedule

14 hours per week, with flexibility to work these across either two or three days.
