Fund Controller (Hedge Fund)

About the Role

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Controller (Hedge Fund) in Westchester County, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of complex investment structures within a growing investment management platform. This hybrid role manages core controllership functions including NAV reporting, shadow accounting, and audit coordination across hedge funds and related entities. The position offers broad exposure to fund operations and the opportunity to support new product launches and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review internal performance reports and NAV estimates for investment funds.
• Perform shadow accounting alongside fund administrators to validate reporting accuracy.
• Support month-end close processes by reviewing schedules and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounting and reporting for special purpose entities and related structures.
• Assist with year-end audits and provide supporting documentation to external auditors.
• Partner with internal teams to address investor inquiries and reporting needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 10-15 years of experience in hedge fund accounting or controllership roles.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience with investment fund structures; exposure to private markets or alternative investments preferred.
• Experience with fund accounting systems such as Geneva and administrator platforms required.

Pay

$200,000 – $250,000/year + bonus
