Fund Advisor

The Role

Fish Network is building the infrastructure for the “Neofund” era, enabling emerging managers to launch compliant, on-chain investment clubs (“Fish Schools”) with built-in custody, governance, and capital formation rails. We are seeking a Fund Advisor to mentor and train emerging Fish School Organizers (solo GPs and investment club leaders) on how to structure, operate, and scale high-quality investment communities.

Responsibilities

• Mentor emerging fund managers on launching and structuring investment clubs and venture funds
• Train managers on sourcing, screening, diligence, and IC process design
• Help build portfolio construction frameworks and capital deployment pacing
• Support managers with LP communication, reporting, and governance standards
• Review investment memos and provide structured, actionable feedback
• Provide frameworks for risk management and portfolio monitoring
• Conduct workshops, office hours, and structured training sessions
• Help managers refine LP decks and fundraising narratives
• Monitor fund performance and identify operational improvements
• Contribute to best-practice playbooks for early-stage fund operators

Qualifications

• Experience in venture capital, angel investing, or fund operations
• Direct exposure to launching or operating a syndicate, investment club, or venture fund
• Strong understanding of fund economics (carry, management fees, reserves, DPI/TVPI)
• Experience evaluating early-stage startups and writing or reviewing investment memos
• Strong mentorship and communication skills
• Ability to simplify complex fund mechanics for first-time managers
• Experience building systems (CRM, reporting frameworks, diligence processes)
• High ownership mindset and execution discipline

Preferred Experience

• As a GP, venture partner, or fund operator
• Prior experience coaching founders or investors
• Exposure to global emerging markets or first-time fund managers
