About the role

The Fund Accounting Manager will support our client's Growth strategies, responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of fund accounting across both open- and closed-end private equity vehicles. This individual will manage capital activity, maintain accurate NAVs, and lead quarterly and annual financial reporting while partnering closely with investment and investor relations teams. The role requires a strong understanding of varying fund structures, including the nuances between open- and closed-end vehicles, as well as experience with complex equity structures, valuation concepts, and waterfall mechanics.

The ideal candidate brings several years of private markets fund accounting experience, ideally within growth equity or similar strategies, and has operated within a fund administrator, asset manager, or Big Four environment. They are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review of capital calls and distributions prepared by fund administrator, including set-up of our clients check workpapers
  • Quarterly review of closing workpapers, financial statements, capital account statements, ILPA fee templates (as applicable) and ILPA subscription line usage templates (as applicable) prepared by fund administrator, including set-up of our clients check workpapers
  • Annual review of audited financial statements, footnotes, including disclosure workings
  • Detailed review of management fee and waterfall calculations prepared by fund administrator, including set-up of our clients check workpapers
  • Assist Investor Servicing Team in responding to information requests and inquiries from Limited Partners
  • Work with the Fund Operations Team to coordinate draws and repayment of fund-level credit facilities
  • Review expenses charged to Funds and perform allocations in accordance with the Firm’s expense allocation policy
  • Review materials prepared by Investor Relations and Compliance departments related to due diligence requests and regulatory filings
  • Reviews working papers supporting regulatory compliance filings and draft filings prior to submission, including AIFMD, FAR, Form ADV, Form PF, and other regulatory filings
  • Monitor cash activities on a real time basis when there are capital calls and distributions
  • Assist in the execution of cash movements (wires, transfers, ACH, etc.), including coordination with Treasury team, as applicable
  • Monthly review of bank and custody reconciliations
  • Assisting in posting and releasing deliverables on the investor portal (financial statements, capital accounts, capital calls / distributions, etc.)
  • Ad Hoc projects
  • Support the creation of new documentation and best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on fund accounting/reporting experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Self-starter that is able to self-motivate to work in a mostly remote team setting
  • Strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, expert modeling and spreadsheet capabilities

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $102,000 - $153,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
