Fund Accountant

About the role

This is a Fund Accountant position with a growing, globally recognized investment management firm overseeing more than $3 billion in assets. This hybrid opportunity is based in Warrenville, IL, and offers the chance to join a highly collaborative team that supports sophisticated investment funds while helping drive innovation, automation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily fund accounting activities, including reconciliation of accounts, values and transactions
• Review fund fees, expenses, investor activity and NAV calculations
• Partner with third-party administrators and trading managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Lead investment allocation processes across multiple fund structures
• Review annual audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
• Support annual tax reporting processes with third-party tax providers
• Oversee cash movements, margin calls, capital activity and investor servicing functions
• Assist with foreign exchange and currency hedging activities
• Compile and deliver reports for investors and internal stakeholders
• Support regulatory filings and compliance initiatives
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and risk mitigation
• Participate in strategic projects, including new fund launches and fee structure implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-4 years of accounting, fund accounting or investment operations experience
• CPA preferred but not required

Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with SQL and/or Power BI is a plus
• Experience utilizing AI tools to automate processes is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Team-first mentality with a willingness to contribute wherever needed

Pay

$65,000-$90,000 annually + eligibility to earn a bonus
